Moving home checklist?

• Book your Removal as soon as you can confirm dates and times.
• Dispose of anything you don't want.
• Defrost your freezer and un-plumb all white goods.
• Arrange the carpet fitters for a different time than the removal company.
• Take meter readings.
• Cancel all rental agreements.
• Notify doctor, dentist, optician and vet.
• Tell your bank and savings/share accounts.
• Inform Telephone Company.
• Ask the Post Office to re-route mail.
• Tell TV license, car registration and passport offices.
• Notify HP and credit firms.
• Make local map to new house for friends and moving company.
• Clear the loft. And cellars.
• Organise parking at old and new home.
• Plan where things go in new home.
• Cancel milk and newspapers.
• Arrange minders for children and pets.
• Contact friends and relatives and inform of new address.
• Put garage and garden tools together.
• Take down curtains and blinds.
• Dismantle any furniture prior to removal date.
